💸 The story of one sale!📈 In classical management theory, sales and marketing are traditionally seen as the primary revenue-generating departments. In principle, we could also add a business development and customer success department for software or technology companies. Regarding the rest depts, no one expects any direct influence on sales from any other department, but they can certainly do it, but how? 📜 This story happened to me several years ago when I was head of the training department and responsible for training and product promotion in the CIS countries, indeed from an organizational point of view I worked in the marketing department, but the same story could have happened in any other department and with anyone else.🎓 Let's cut to the chase: During my time at university, I made many connections within my department and many of them started their careers in different areas of the construction industry for example. designers, builders, suppliers, etc. 🏗 One fine day, a classmate invited me to his wedding, and during our short meeting, I was informed that he was responsible for supplies and there was a need for engineering systems, without thinking for a long time I invited him to share information. After some time, I received specifications and drawings of 3 multi-story buildings under construction, which were immediately transferred to the sales department. 🥇 As a result, my mate from supply easily closed the engineering issue thanks to our operational work, I received gratitude from sales, and we as a company received additional revenues with a good gross profit.Of course, nothing would have happened if it weren't for:✅ Our acquaintance,✅ Intersection of interests,✅ Timely meeting,✅ High speed of request processing. 💡 Moral: You'll never know until you're interested - just ask!#sales #marketing #networking

Any project can be estimated accurately...Once it's completed… Written on meme regarding project management Here I would like to immediately highlight two points, for sure the first is about methods for estimating the scope of work and project time, but the second no less important point is the completion of a production cycle or a separate stage with a retrospective, and here I would like to share why it is necessary to carry it out and in what cases it is not.Yes, when:✅ There is a request to improve business processes,✅ Some kind of recurring error keeps appearing,✅ It is necessary to collect new ideas, and plan to implement some,✅ Teamwork needs to be strengthened.No, when:❌ Limited time or wrong time for a meeting,❌ New team participants with different levels of maturity,❌ No facilitator – will be no openness during session,❌ The host does not plan to initially implement the action plan.In conclusion, I would like to say that a retrospective is useful for those who work and do not work according to agile methodologies.Do you agree?
