Recently, I met a young woman who shared her troubling experience working at a bank. Her male boss, in his early 40s, told her she needed to wear more makeup and lose weight to fit her clothes better, claiming it was affecting the company's image. I was horrified. It's highly unlikely that their company dress code included such personal and inappropriate demands.As a result, this young woman chose to leave the organization. This experience has left her feeling more comfortable working for a female boss, which is understandable given the circ*mstances.Despite the negative experience, I was incredibly impressed by her courage and assertiveness. Standing up for oneself in such a situation takes immense strength, and it's something I deeply admire. My younger self lacked that confidence, and seeing it in her was truly inspiring.Career journeys are never dull, and stories like these remind us of the importance of respect and equality in the workplace.
